The Teachers for Impact (TFI) project is a flagship initiative by Okoa New Generation aimed at transforming classroom environments into inclusive, safe, and empowering spaces for all learners—especially girls and children with disabilities. The project focuses on strengthening educators’ capacity to deliver gender-responsive, disability-sensitive, and learner-centered pedagogy that promotes equity and dignity in education.
TFI equips teachers with practical tools and knowledge on safeguarding, SRHR, and inclusive teaching methodologies. It also fosters positive attitudes toward diversity and encourages teachers to challenge harmful norms that perpetuate discrimination in schools.
Through workshops, coaching, and mentorship, TFI ensures educators are not only trained—but supported to apply inclusive practices that improve learning outcomes and student wellbeing.
218 teachers trained across 18 schools in Monduli and Arusha.
